I’m excited about the weekly Style Guides that are coming up on Jipaban’s website!
So other than just shopping, they now also offer great advice on how to mix-and-match your items
and tips on trends and fashion need-to-knows.
I don’t know about you but I would always look through the Lookbook available on the shopping sites I frequent.
So having the Style Guides on Jipaban is definitely going to benefit me!
The Style Guide topic changes every week and it will provide fashion tips that are applicable to everyone.
Jipaban’s Style Guides are contributions from their in-house and guests stylists!
For this week, it would be “Solo Statements” – where you will get insights on how to make statement pieces work for you.
Statement pieces in layman terms pretty much just means pieces that will immediately
grab the attention of the people looking at you.
It’s a must to at least have a few statement pieces because these are the ones
that will immediately make your outfit look more interesting.
And because Jipaban challenged me to my very own Style Guide,
I shall accept it and hopefully you will agree on the looks I’ve pulled!
Heh.
The first piece is this cute “Dracula teeth” ring in hot pink!
It feels fun and young, great for weekend gatherings with my best buddies!
This necklace comes with studs, gems and spikes – it very much represents me!
Naughty but nice. Haha!
I chose a very plain black cotton dress which I believe most of us will at least have one
and demonstrated how it can actually be very fun accessorizing a plain outfit.
If you are a beach bunny, then I think these brass accessories will suit you.
It goes very well with wooden bangles and generally anything in earth tone.
Under normal circumstances, I will not opt for a chunky bangle like this one
because I’m not very confident of putting it off.
But I’ve tried it with a few outfits and I think it will suit the glam look very well.
It should go with a simple black tee + torn and tattered jeans look too. Glam factor is 10/10!
This “very statement” statement necklace. Haha!
I love the chains and suede fabrics hanging off this necklace!
I think this is a very versatile piece that can go with a simple tube dress
or even with the most boring singlet and jeans getup.
Last but definitely not the least, I am so loving this bunch of bracelets!
I always get a headache trying to match bracelets and bangles that look good together.
But with this, all problems will be solved!
I love how they can put the most contrasting materials together and still look so well.
This piece would go with any casual outfits, and can be an everyday piece –
on any day when you feel like having a lil arm swag!
If you think you can get used to reading style guides and receiving other fashion tips,
then you should now scribble on that post-it to remind yourself to check out
Jipaban’s website every Wednesday for new and informative fashion tips!
There is also this blog that I want to share for all fashion addicts!
Go on and think out of the box when it comes to dressing up!
