The new year is creeping up on us quietly.
2015 is a big year for me –
mainly because this is the year when I will have to answer “三张没得找” when people ask for my age.
How is the 30s like?
Other than the fact that I can try applying for a flat at 35, I have nothing to look forward to.
People always say women are the sexiest in their 30s.
I hope “people” are not all women in their 30s. Heh.
This is quite a difficult time for Gushcloud, but I hope for the majority of us,
2014 will end on a good note.
I cannot help but feel old at the end of every year.
But I am also always thankful for the wisdom, experience and good things that had happened to me in the past year.
2014 was a great year for me.
I travelled to 8 cities in 2014.
Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Saint Moritz, Phuket, Tokyo, Bangkok.
A and I decided that we want to get married.
And it was also the first time we got the chance to tell my mother face-to-face about who we are, how we feel,
and what we want to be in the near future.
And I cannot explain how happy I was when Mom told us that she will give us her blessings.
It is never easy spelling it out, especially when it comes to things like that.
But A and I are really lucky that the people around us love us for who we are.
And to top it off on an even better note, my Mom, my brother
and his girlfriend attended their first Pink Dot with A and I!
We also celebrated our first year anniversary in 2014 at The Tiramisu Hero with a short vacation.
And for the first time, we get to bring our staff overseas for some much-needed good fun.
If you have been reading my blog for a while, you’ll notice that I’m always “Mom, Mom, Mom” and hardly “Dad”.
That’s because as much as I love my Dad dearly, I always find it hard to communicate with him.
Dad is also conservative and rather shy (he only opens up when he had too much to drink). :p
Because of an advertorial for Oral-B, I “dug my heart and put it into the blog post”.
From there, words got around and my Dad’s colleague actually went to translate the blog post for him.
That night, my Dad called me and told me he love me.
I cannot remember my Dad saying that he loved me before.
It really warmed my heart.
Thereafter, Dad also come by the cafe more often than ever to just sit around and chit chat,
hang out with his friends.
Earlier in January 2014, I put up a post about my Bucket List and what I want to achieve in future.
I couldn’t remember what was in the post, but when I was scrolling through my blog posts in 2014,
I chanced upon the post and I’m surprised that I’ve actually gotten some of those “Bucket List” items planned/done!
I started driving lessons in October and I have booked my driving test date.
If nothing goes wrong (if I pass the driving test, that is), I will soon be zipping around town,
driving, in January next year.
A and I are also looking at the options that we have to be wedded overseas,
probably in the coming year or the next.
It’s really pretty hard trying to find information online, so I guess I should start putting some information
on my blog so that other gay couple who want to do the same thing has somewhere to at least know what to do.
Hor? Haha.
2014 is also the good year where we saw our first franchise open in Tokyo.
I guess that makes us international? LOL.
Honestly, that is just a mini, mini milestone.
I sure hope The Tiramisu Hero, my baby, will continuing growing fast and strong in the coming year.
A and I will be jetting off to Seoul in about 8 days’ time.
I heard it’s freaking cold over there (and it’s snowing now!) and I sure hope I’ll get to see falling snow!
A is also taking me to Norway in late January. *OMG*
And I really really really hope I’ll get to see the Northern Lights on the trip.
Sidenote: If any of you have any tips for winter time travel to the Scandinavian countries, please share with me!

Dear 2014, although you have taken away Ulva and an eye from Maliboo,
thank you for making so many good things happen to me and the people around me.
I cannot wait to kickstart Year 2015 with a bang and make sure things only get better from here.
I have to work super hard this coming year.
For me.
For A.
For my family.
Jiayou Peggy.. Reading your blog for years, I am really happy that you have done so well! You are an inspiration to me and I will work hard for 2015 too!!
