Go West with Westgate!

I hardly visit the west side of Singapore, but when I do, I only visit the best mall. Heh!
The west has changed so much since my graduation from NTU;
I used to think of the west-side malls as heartland malls
where we find the pharmacies and not-so-cool fashion brands.
My most recent trip to this new mall called Westgate changed my impression of how the “heartland” malls
are not so heartland anymore now!

I spied big brands like Calvin Klein Jeans, Desigual, Sacoor Brothers, A|X Armani Exchange,
COS (I love!) for fashion, and F&B big guys like Paul Bakery, Tim Ho Wan, Brozeit and
Crystal Jade just to name a few.
I love the whole design of the mall as well with one part of the mall called the Courtyard
going green with an alfresco concept.
It is no surprise that my favourite Tokyu Hands has chosen Westgate to have their first Singapore store!
For a while, I forgot that I was in Jurong because it really felt downtown Orchard!

Paul is one of the many shops located in the alfresco Courtyard area;
I love the feel of being indoor-outdoor (if you know what I mean)! Heh.

My main agenda of the visit that day was to check out FEMALE & NÜYOU Westgate Fashion Night Out
where several fashion tenants showcased their latest Spring Summer 15 Collection!

Once I reached the mall, I searched for a runway but to no avail.
I was getting worried for the organizers over time, worrying that they might not have enough time to set up a runway.

But little did I know…

Upon nightfall, the entire Courtyard area transformed into an enormous fashion heaven!

The line up was pretty exciting with respectable apparel labels like A|X Armani Exchange, Desigual,
Giordano Ladies (whose designs really blew me away!), New Look, Sacoor Brothers, T.M. Lewin and Aldo.
For the record, I thought these brands can usually only be found in the city!
All thanks to Westgate, now we have them in the heartland to! Oh! I have to also mention that
the choreography of the catwalk (or rather, dance) was fresh and entertaining!

Ahem, and there was no lack of eye candies too.

I’d totally wear that cute blue checked suit!

The presentation of the apparels was casual and fun, but definitely not lacking in the “Wow!” factor.

And the cherry on top of the cake? The participating fashion tenants dished out super exclusive deals
that lasted only during that day, AND a Vanity Lounge area with makeup, nails and hair makeover services!

There is also a Vanity Cart for quickie beauty services!

Westgate is a pretty huge place, with brands like TEMT, Factorie, Suit Select, Benefit, Colette, Timberland,
so in case you want to head straight to the participating tenants in the fashion show
to grab whatever you’ve seen on the models, here are their unit numbers! Hehe!
