The Changi Barepackers Challenge

Screen Shot 2015-10-17 at 5.29.06 pm

In the recent Changi Airport Barepackers Challenge, I was asked to turn up at Changi Airport
with only my passport and an empty suitcase.

It was pretty nerve-wrecking and I was actually very anxious about how I’m going to finish the task.
And what if I didn’t manage to get everything I need?! Hahahaha.

I turned up early at Changi Airport and had no idea how much time I have to shop,
which terminal I’ll be flying off from and what time my flight is.

(Changi Airport is pretty secretive! Haha!)

That’s Rosie and I – with my weekend vacation location in the brown envelope.
And it is…. P E N A N G !

It was pretty exciting running around in the 3 terminals in Changi Airport.
But fortunately, I prepared my shopping list and also prepped myself with the knowledge of all
the shops in all the 3 terminals so I won’t be scampering around aimlessly. :p

I’m so glad to be flying to Penang!
The Changi Airport team actually looked through my blog and found out that Penang is one of my dream destinations! :p

My first stop was to get shoes and a nice bag I could bring out while I was in Penang!
Charles and Keith was my first stop! :p

There was also lots of options for apparels – from Adidas, Uniqlo to my favourite Zara!
And of course, the essentials for travel like medication, pen, mints, charger, makeup and cleansers.
All easily within reach in Changi Airport!

I even had time to stop for a short break for coffee and toast!

One of my favourite discovery about Changi Airport was Long Bar by Raffles!
Located in Terminal 3, this bar actually serves top standard cocktails from Raffles Long Bar!
This is the very first long bar operating outside of Raffles Hotel, and I’m glad I found it!

They serve complimentary cocktails to all travellers passing through Changi Airport.
It’s just pure awesomeness!!!!

Second big discovery about Changi Airport is iShopChangi!
Next time I’m going overseas, I can just buy some stuff from their online store!
Totally help me save time walking through the different DFS stores. 😀
Changi Airport would like to offer you $10 off your next iShopChangi purchase
(with a minimum spend of S$80) if they sign up for the iSC newsletter!
That’s MORE savings on top of the GST-free prices!
You can just pick the items up from specific counters that are available in all 3 terminals. 🙂

The challenge was a big, big success and I really manage to head to Penang with everything I need!
