Hello Cats! Hello Alpacas!

And so, other than lavish temples, cheap massages, good food and fancy hotels, Bangkok has more to offer! A and I checked out three theme cafes in Bangkok and I’m here to share more about what we think of them. We have heard (or seen) many cat cafes because they are getting so popular these days. But this one that we visited is one of the prettiest I’ve seen so far! Other than the cafe section, they also have a retail section, as well as a grooming arm! The cats here are really pretty! And we saw 3 (or was it 4) Maine Coons, and A went crazy because she really likes her cats BIG! Hahahahaha. But to be frank, the Maine Coons looked really majestic! The pictures you see above is the usual sight during most of the time. We were also lucky enough to witness how feeding time was like at the cafe! The lady with the cat food walked into the room with a tray with all the cat food and went …

Hotel Muse

Last weekend was a special one for me, being able to spend A’s birthday privately with her in Bangkok. I think people might think we are mad at the rate we’re visiting Bangkok. Heh! We just love this place too much! During this visit, we also checked out Le Cabinet de Curiosites of Thomas Erber, an internationally acclaimed annual exhibition, exploring both Thai and international arts. It was a feast for the eyes! This is the fifth year Le Cabinet de Curiosite was held and this time round, it was hosted by Siwilai Concept Store and Central Embassy, a brand new luxury mall in the heart of Bangkok. In this event, we saw more than 70 pieces consisting of a Lotus Arts de Vive crocodile sculpture, pieces by Thai silk company Jim Thompson, a P-Tendercool haute manufactured table, the lightest jacket ever made by Officine Generale, and an exclusive urban city bag by Maison Takuya. It’s just way too cool! Central Embassy was also like an art piece on its own – look at those …

Venice

My Italy vacay starts tomorrow and I am jotting down all the stuff I need to pack for the trip. I find it extremely bothersome to have to pack for a trip (especially a long one) without a packing list. Do you have the same problem? And since I foresee myself going for many, many more trips in future. I shall put up my packing list online so I won’t have to make new lists in the future. *genius* If you’re the worry wart sort and want to make sure you didn’t miss out anything, you could check against mine too!

Florence

Florence is just absolutely gorgeous, laid-back and friendly! It is my second time to Italy but my first time to Florence. I’ve heard so much about Florence from A because she is so in love with this city. She calls it a very “liveable city”, full of nice people and not as flooded with tourists compared to Rome. Florence is quiet, small and cosy to be in, but for me, it was the day trips we took from Florence totally blew my mind. They had so much to offer and were so different from what I had experienced in Rome.

Rome

I have this indescribable urge to visit Europe every once in a while. August 2014 was quite an eventful month for me because I not only get to spend my 29th birthday in Italy, I also got to travel with not just A, but also Mom and one of my favourite aunts. 🙂

Tokyo

Tokyo came and left in the blink of an eye. As much as the world is getting smaller every day with this crazy technology boom, it is still taking me so long to fly around the globe. Hasn’t anyone came up with a teleporting machine yet?
