It was one of my greatest wish to travel to Europe when I was in university. I was always green with envy when I hear friends travelling to Europe for their graduation trips etc. In a nutshell, I just really wanted to go check out Europe for myself, and Paris in particular, is one of the cities I am dying to visit. Other than the world renowned Eiffel Tower, Montmartre in Paris is also on my bucket list. A and I didn’t make it to Montmartre on our previous trip because our trip was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances. But this time round, we finally made it there! Montmartre! Munich | Austria

It came as a little surprise when I was told that we would be crossing the borders and heading over to Salzburg, Austria! The first place we came to was Mirabell Garden where the film Sound of Music was filmed in the 60s. Quite sadly, my childhood was quite ching chong so I didn’t watch the show when I was younger. But I do remember snippets of the show, especially those classic scenes from videos I’ve watched over the years. Here are some pictures of the beautiful Mirabell Garden! The steps where the children in the movie sang “Do Re Mi” on! :p Our guide was this really cute Austrian lady named Ruth. The city was somewhat divided into two by the river. I have to say the atmosphere on the two sides is so different! The view on the connecting bridge was breathtaking too. And the buskers made the walking around extra enjoyable too! There are Mozart related souvenirs everywhere because this place is where Amadeus Mozart was born! And this was his birth …

I am finally back from the days of being internet-less! This Europe trip felt really different from the previous one but it was just as good if not better. It was a rather last-minute decision because it was actually A’s company retreat getaway trip. They were going to Munich and she thought it would be great if we could tag along, and leave Munich on our own to finish off what we missed out from our previous Europe trip. We came back about a week in advance from our previous trip there because of my grandmother’s demise. And it felt like we have came one full circle after we finally finished up what we set out to do in the first place. We visited Munich, Austria (for a day), Paris and Barcelona this time round. I must say I am very proud that we managed to spend very little on this trip (muahaha!). I am really poor now. REALLY POOR! Need to start working my ass off again! Nuff of whining! 😀 Here are some …

I am back with another entry about my Bangkok trip! This is the third and last post about this recent trip though, and it feels as if I am on the trip and it is ending all over again. Boo. I miss the Land of Smiles already! For this last entry, I want to share one of my favourite night markets in Bangkok! But before that, here are some pictures taken during our anniversary dinner there. It’s our first year together and we decided to just spend it like any other day. We had dinner at the 9th Cafe in Siam Paragon. It’s just a simple looking cafe but the food was pretty good! (The food is nice everywhere in Bangkok lah!) This is my lady’s ‘happy smile’. The food! A likes her western food and my heart has long been stolen by Thai cuisine. I’m back with more details about my Bangkok trip and more hangouts in the Land of Smiles to recommend! A and I checked in to our second hotel for this trip! I first read about MADUZI Hotel on the internet, and I was blown away by the decor in this hotel, especially their unique bath tubs in all of their rooms! This hotel also views the privacy of their hotel guests importantly. There is no typical check-in counter in this hotel, all paper work are done in your rooms. And the moment you enter the hotel, it just feels like home! There is no crowd around any counters, you don’t see a lot of guests walking around too because there is only slightly more than 40 rooms in there. The hotel do not take guest reservations over the counter, so only prior reservations are accepted. The gates to the hotel are almost always closed too, so you don’t get random strangers streaming in and out. I like it! We were allocated a room on the …

I AM FINALLY BACK! The recent Bangkok trip has been great. It was supposed to be a 7 day trip, but due to some last minute decisions, we extended our trip and it became a 11 days one. It was my first time staying in Bangkok for so many days. And as to why I was there for such a long time, I shall reveal it in my next post! 🙂 For now, I just wanna share some of the places I visited in Bangkok and also a nice hotels I stayed in when I was there. If you’re reading this now and will be travelling to Bangkok soon, hope it would be of some help in your itinerary planning too! We tried out two hotels in this trip and both were absolutely fantastic – different and unique in their own ways. The first boutique hotel we visited was TENFACE Hotel at Phloen Chit area. Before I begin, let me wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! Hope the Dragon Year would be a HUAT HUAT year for everyone and may everyone be happy, sexy, glam and healthy! ♥ This Chinese New Year has been a rather quiet one for everyone in my family. We didn’t do any visiting this year because of Grandma’s recent demise, but we still had fun at our family chalet! 🙂 I visited A’s place though, and it was a lot of fun meeting her family. And when I was told to blog about something close to heart – something similar to the warm fluffy feeling melting a piece of chocolate in my mouth would give me, I thought I should dedicate this entry to my beloved Mom. My mother has always been an inspiration to me since young. She always struck me as a free-spirited, optimistic and daredevil woman. Although she is my mother, she has always been more of a friend instead. We could talk about almost anything and we are comfortable to show our innermost feelings before each other.
