Chatted with my university hall mate Mikeller couple of days back and she told me
about this Sloggi flash mob that will be taking place in town.
I was there for gym that day and I caught it! Hahaha.
Here are some pictures of the flash mob – the “weather girls” were decked in their new collection of lingerie and cute raincoats!
Traffic stopping indeed!
It started off with a dance right in front of Ngee Ann City where the dancers really brightened up Orchard Road that day,
and the models put up a fashion show right in the heart of town.
They then danced to the pedestrian crossing right in front of Paragon and danced in front of the traffic!
As you can see from the tees the girls are wearing, the slogan for the new collection is “Love Weather, Love Sloggi”.
The lingerie in the new collection has prints of different weathers –
rainy, sunny and even other elements of weather like rainbows or thunderstorms!
It also serves to remind us to love the world and it will love us back,
so it’s time to pull up our socks on the 3Rs and be nicer to planet Earth. 🙂
You can check out more pictures on their Facebook Page.
Thank you Mikeller for sending me a set of lingerie from the new collection too!
The one I got was full of rainbow prints!
Not very comfortable with shooting myself in lingerie lah!
You get a rough idea of how the prints look like can already! Haha.
I am so fail at acting sexy. LOL!
You should go check out their new collection in stores if you like cutesy prints on your lingerie. 😀

I also checked out this cosy little cafe called Mu Parlour locatedat Holland Village!
It’s located right above Thai Express, but it’s easy to miss it because
I assume most of us don’t really look at what’s on second storey right?
For me, I’ve been missing it despite hanging out in Holland Village all the time when I was still working around there!
I read about it in JUICE magazine couple of months back and had the addressed saved in my phone.
And when I finally had some time on hand earlier this week, I decided to go check it out myself!
Totally addicted to my Kermit Birkenstocks. So bloody cute and comfortable to be in!
They serve all day breakfast and also gourmet burgers, as well as sweets like cakes and tarts.
The variety of drinks available is quite big too!
The place is spacious and really comfortable to be in.
I personally enjoy being in places with a lot of natural day light so this is totally up my alley.
Love how all the tables and chairs are mismatched too!
I ordered an Eggs Benedict, safe option right?
But unfortunately, it was really quite meh.
The bread was kind of soggy and the sauce was not impressive too.
Sorry! 😡
A ordered one of their gourmet burgers and she gave it a 6/10.
The FRIES that came with the burger is worth 5 stars though!
It was garlic flavoured and it came with generous sprinkle of garlic bits!
The smelly mouth after the meal was totally worth it! Heh.
I also like the desserts they have there – very pretty and look like they tastes so good.
We had a lemon meringue tart and it was quite good.
The drinks they have there was decent too and value for money.
Generally, I would not go back to Mu Parlour for a meal but would definitely return for an afternoon tea with friends.
The desserts and drinks were the highlights of the meal (oh yes and the fries too!).
I like how the cafe is quite and the servers don’t really walk around and bother us much. Heh!
If you’re in Holland Village and bored of the usual stuff they have there,
drop by Mu Parlour and see if the food tickles your fancy. 🙂

Before I finish up this post, I want to introduce you formally to the newest member of my family.
And his name is Antonio!
For the longest time, I have been looking for a British Shorthair because I’m so attracted to how they look!
A has officially made me a feline-lover and having a cat of my own (ok not really all mine, it’s ours) almost feels necessary.
We tried to look for one from adoption sites but to no avail.
To be honest, I felt a little guilty shopping for a pet from a pet shop. 😦
We bought Antonio from AllBreeds pet shop at Chip Bee Gardens and it took us 3 visits to finally get him.
Speaking of Chip Bee Gardens, the people in there really get on my nerves.
Shall not mention about how I had to go there 3 times to get Antonio.
Today, when I was in the pet shop and asked to view the cat, they were so slow and almost seem uninterested.
I asked the shop owner (I assume) about the cat and she immediately threw me a “Are You Sure?” face.
She told me the cat is already more than 1 year old and kept saying how the cat is “not very friendly with humans”.
To be honest, I cannot help but feel sad for the cat because she is probably the reason why he is still in the pet shop.
I was told that Antonio has been in the pet shop for 1 year,
which means he is probably just a few months old when he first got there.
Makes me wonder why he is “not very friendly with humans”.
Anyways, assumptions aside, we met the cat in the pet shop for the first time and he was not aggressive at all.
In fact, he was really docile and mild tempered.
(Nothing compared to the feisty Bert we have at home already)
So after some discussion, A and I decided that we are going to make him the lucky cat that day and give him a permanent home.
We told the shop attendant and when he went to tell the lady boss our decision,
I saw that woman rolled her eyes, shrugged her shoulders and gave a “Whatever” look.
Seriously made me very pissy.
Oh well. Antonio is now with us and I am sure we can make him feel at home and be comfortable with us.
(I sure hope he gets along well with Maliboo too! Haha!)
I want to take this chance to thank my pets supplies sponsor, Kohe Pets too!
Thank you for bringing the furkids so many yummy food, treats and toys every month.
Saves me the trouble of lugging everything home from the pet shop with the home delivery too.
The food and variety of treats available never fail to excite them (and me!). Hehe!
What a bad service Allbreeds had. I am happy that you finally found Antonio! Love British shorthair 🙂

Carrot – thank you carol! 🙂
Afiqah – Yes they are really gentle and docile indeed! I’m sure you will enjoy the company of one too. 🙂
Pearly – Hahaha crazy cat lady indeed. :p Yes will make sure the next one is an adoptee. Thank you for the heads up. We got a feeling it is going to take quite a while before he gets used to everyone. He is down with flu lately. Hope he will get better quickly!

Hello! Just been checking out Singapore bloggers and have been reading yours.
Find myself entertained, informed, and also somewhat inspired with you and A! Haha! Not that I know you two. But have enjoyed reading and discovering places here. Will check out Mu Parlour! Singapore has so many concept restos! Hard to keep track! Just stumbled upon a few more along Bukit Timah.
Keep keeping it real!
