Freedom To Love

“I support the freedom to love.” It’s always easier said than done. Pink Dot 2014 is the most special Pink Dot for me because this year, I have two of the most important women in my life with me – A and my most supportive Mom. I have seen many parents at Pink Dot, and I always think to myself how fortunate their children are. For me, I have never really spoken to Mom about my sexual orientation or what I plan to do in life until a couple of months back when A and I told my Mom about our decision to get married in time. My mother’s readiness to accept us surprised me. And what was more surprising was how she instantly agreed to attending this year’s Pink Dot with me! I mean, being accepting is one, but being at Pink Dot with me means so much – because to me, it shows that she is proud of me and my choices in life as well. Isn’t it? I think I am really …

Verbal Vomit Night

At times, I do miss my days in school. Not so much for the insane amount of workload, but more for the freedom to choose what I want to do everyday with all that free time I had on hand. I started reading a new book a couple of weeks back. This might come across as a surprise to you, but I’ve actually never finished a book from cover to cover before. I think it says quite a lot about my character. This new series I’m on now comes in three different parts. I am proud to announce that I had already completed Book I! 2 more to go, and I sure as hell want to kick that horrible habit I have when it comes to reading. I wonder why I haven’t read more in the past. Being able to be temporarily transported into another world, to have the ability to creep inside the author’s mind and indulge in his imagination is actually quite an escape. I had shitload of time but I wasted them …

Singsale 2014

I am thrilled about the next Flash Frenzy that is coming up in early May! If you still remember how it was like in November last year, you would probably remember Flash Frenzy being the one place where shoppers went crazy with the up to 80% off discount! Can I please start queuing now? Hahaha. Shopping is like a mega life saver whenever I am feeling stressed (and even when times when I’m relaxed, I would still want to further relax myself by shopping even more!). There is never enough shoes, never enough bags, never enough clothes! I need more “ammunition” to take my #OOTD shots right? Haha! SINGSALE is a private online shopping club that offers discounts of up to 80% off across women, men, kids fashion, accessories, beauty and lifestyle products. They also host sales for top fashion brands in the world on a daily basis. In this event, they will be launching new sale every half an hour. How exciting! In the upcoming Flash Frenzy sale starting from 4th May, the organizers …

Class of 2013

I am usually not a very gadget person but when it comes to any new technology or gadgets that can help make my blogging work easier, I would always be the first person to want to try it out! I just pocketed a new SD card from Toshiba called Flashair and it is just too cool! This is the first Toshiba SD card I have, and I wasn’t aware that they were the ones who set up the SD Association alongside other partners to develop and promote memory card storage standards! And they were the ones who invented the Flash memory too! They must be really good since they are the ones pioneered the technology. It comes with a detailed explanation on how to hook up any WiFi-enabled devices. Setup takes about 2 minutes and after a while, I’ll be able to see the pictures on my SD card from my phone!

Movie Stub Cycle

You just celebrated your 3rd year anniversary. You are so lucky to meet someone whom you can be so comfortable with. Then you remembered how it was like when you first met him/her, sleep was the least important thing you need, all you look forward to everyday is a text or a call. You send each other MMSes to constantly update each other what you are looking at / doing / eating at that moment. You collect all the movie ticket stubs. And you can remember his/her birth date, address, cellphone number. Every outing was interesting – you learned how to appreciate recitals when you don’t even like music, you made yourself find out more about what the different football clubs are, you started playing computer games, started knitting, picked up a new language, took a plane alone, started writing poems, composed songs, handmade cards, changed your fashion style to look more compatible with him/her, started going to the gym, go to a new gym, stopped going to gym because you have no more time, …
