A and I will be on our way to our first Bangkok trip together.
I did some research on where to go and what to eat,
and I was devastated when I realized that Suan Lom Night Market is gone!
I used to like that place so much despite the expensive food, etc.
After reading some forums and travel sites, I found a couple other night markets!
One is called Rod Fai, another one called Ratchada Lad Phrao Night Market.
I heard they sell a lot of vintage and 2nd hand stuff.
Got no idea how we can get there though, if you have any idea or have been there,
please share some information! We would really appreciate it!
As for accommodation, we’ll be checking out two hotels – TENFACE and MADUZI Hotel.
I’m thrilled!
For now, let me share this new cafe we visited at Ann Siang Hill.
It’s called K ki and within the same space,
you can also find The Little DrΓΆm Store which sells a lot of cute knick knacks, clothes and accessories.
The Little DrΓΆm Store takes up one side of the space, I l o v e the store because there are so many cute stuff!
Accessories, clothings, plushies, stationary, books, old school toys and many many more little trinkets.
I wish I could bring everything home!
Look at these mugs. Too cute!
These raindrops from the raincloud too! π
I love these brooches.
The little Japanese dolls are too cute too!
These are too exquisite to just be a coin or key dish!
This is supposed to look like the Chinese composition book from Primary School!
After shopping around, the tea and latte we ordered were also ready!
We took a seat outside the shop and enjoyed our little tea session.
We also got a slice of Coconut & Passionfruit cake, too pretty to resist!
I love the matt black ceiling fan!
Here is their address if you’re interested in the cute little cafe with friendly people!

To get to Talad Rod Fai Market:
1) take the bts to mo chit (chatuchak stn), and then transfer to the mrt. Alight at kamphaengphet (one stop)
2) take exit 1. After you come up the escalator, do a u turn and walk straight on about 7 -10 mins and you will see a huge open space with many stalls on your right!
Best on Saturday nights. It’s huge! Lovely market to check out with some cute cafes. Not so good if it rains though π enjoy!

Ratchada Lad Phrao Night Market is like sungei road fleamarket in the dark. It’s walkable distance from Ratchadaphisek station, easier to take a train there cos taxi drivers don’t really know where it is. It is very dark so maybe u can bring a torchlight there. I’ve spotted many indie thai hippies with afro hair the previous time i was there, very cool! Oh ya, and it’s only open on Saturday night.
If you’re going Sukhumvit area, do go to Sukhumvit Soi 11 where there’s a backpacker hostel called Suk11, definitely very camera worthy place!! Their website is http://www.suk11.com. If they don’t mind, you can request to go up the wooden stairs to take a look at the 2nd floor.
If you have alot of time to spare, you can explore the cafes introed by this blogger: http://sarahs-loft.com/?p=1509 but too bad her photobucket is down. I’ve save a copy on google docs: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B52N2u_CyUK1THhwRlZqbEZlbFk
Enjoy!
