Mr & Mrs Lan

It gives me great GREAT pleasure to blog about our best friend Sinsin’s wedding today. SINSIN IS FINALLY MARRIED! It has been such a great journey seeing our favourite girl prep for her wedding, and it is such an honour to be part of LTK and Sinsin’s wedding and part of their life. The day started with the tricks the “sisters” have prepared for the groom and his gang of brothers! Toothbrush with wasabi, eating all sort of stuff, balloons, stockings, etc. Hahahaha! It’s my second time being a sister this time round! And the prettiest bride, Sinsin dear! She always got the funkiest poses ever. Disaster! Hahahaha. Cute lah cute lah! :p After a series of phone calls and coordination, we got the news that the groom has finally arrived! So we brought all our stuff and went downstairs to give them a warm welcome. Heh! Guess what Min is doing! Hahahaha. Stockings can be used as paddings also ok! Heh! Big balls on the boys! Hahahaha. And the mayhem continues upstairs! (We had …

Kombi Rocks

I am thrilled about this place the moment I heard about it. And I have to thank Cheryl for such a great recommendation! For those of you who doesn’t know yet, Kombi is actually the name of this type of vehicle shown in the banner above. One of the prettiest designs from Volkswagen, if you ask me! Kombi Rocks is not just any other cute cafe! Other than the “Diner” branch, they also have the “Rides” branch where they have cute vintage vehicles for hire. Whether you’re planning for a photoshoot, wedding or just for a joyride, you can get them! Imagine a wedding with such a cute ride, too cute. That’s us on our way to Kombi Rocks! It’s situated on Yio Chu Kang Road, nearer to the Serangoon side. That’s really close to A’s place and we are thrilled to have discovered another cute cafe to hang out at near home. 🙂 [Yes we bought those old school snacks to eat. WE LOVE!] It is hard to miss this place. There would always …

Hens Night Party

Before I begin, let me say that I’m super super super excited about this post! One of my best friends is getting married this Sunday! YES. I’m talking about the smokin’ hot Sindy See! The girls and I did some preparation for the night, and we also booked a room at Fairmont Hotel. I shall let the pictures do the talking! The girls are all wearing blazer from Min’s Little Red Heels! 🙂 Looking fabulous! And when I say “girlfriends”, A is there too! She has gotten really close with my girlfriends and we can all hang out together now. It’s a nice feeling to have all your friends loving your loved one too! Lianie always like to disturb the girlfriend though. Lol! A almost freaked out when they told her that they need to put lipstick on her because her outfit looks too dull. LMAO. Check out all my beautiful colorful girlfriends! The girls went shopping before check-in too, and Lianie bought a new dress for Sinsin’s wedding night! Random. A’s damn cute banana …

Five & Dime

Hello girls! I’m back to show my little trip to another cafe. This time round, it’s to Five & Dime at River Valley. It was a little date for A and I after a busy week and I really love it! I’m wearing my new top from Adan y Eva! I love the top, other than the lovely nude colors that works for me all the time, the quality is super good too! (No need to iron! Hehe!) There is plenty of parking area around the cafe, but that’s probably we visited the cafe during the off-peak hours too. The cafe looks really cute from the outside! I like the colors of the building and how it looks! We got a seat near the main entrance. The design of the place mats on the table is really cute too. Tastefully done! To be honest, I was expecting to see a huge place because the cafe looks quite big on their Facebook Page. There are about less than 15 tables in the cafe but thankfully, they …

Bangkok III

I am back with another entry about my Bangkok trip! This is the third and last post about this recent trip though, and it feels as if I am on the trip and it is ending all over again. Boo. I miss the Land of Smiles already! For this last entry, I want to share one of my favourite night markets in Bangkok! But before that, here are some pictures taken during our anniversary dinner there. It’s our first year together and we decided to just spend it like any other day. We had dinner at the 9th Cafe in Siam Paragon. It’s just a simple looking cafe but the food was pretty good! (The food is nice everywhere in Bangkok lah!) This is my lady’s ‘happy smile’. The food! A likes her western food and my heart has long been stolen by Thai cuisine. After dinner, we went down to our favourite dessert haunt Vanilla Brassiere and bought a tiny Tiramisu cake before we head back to the hotel. A says this cake is …

New Smiles

I am excited about this entry because I get to introduce a place I went to get the perfect smile! I have always been not very confident with my teeth, especially the upper row because I have a gap between my two front teeth. The ends of the two front teeth are jagged, and my teeth are really small. I’m too used to chewing food on the right side of my mouth, so the right incisor and canine teeth are worn too. My horrible teeth-grinding habit (bruxism) when I sleep is not helpful towards the worn teeth too. As a result, the loss in enamel has caused my teeth to be sensitive as well. Here are a few photos of my teeth to give you a better picture. Sorry for the weird faces in the photos. Heh! So during my short stay in Bangkok, A and I watched some videos from the show “Style By Jury”. Those people did WONDERS with veneers, crowns and whitening work and the results were absolutely amazing! I really love …

365

It has been one year. For our first year anniversary, I set out to write a book just for her eyes only. Here is just a few pages of the book to let it be part of my personal blog. A, thanks for being such a wonderful partner. It has been a fucking awesome 365 days for me. Love.

Bangkok II

I’m back with more details about my Bangkok trip and more hangouts in the Land of Smiles to recommend! A and I checked in to our second hotel for this trip! I first read about MADUZI Hotel on the internet, and I was blown away by the decor in this hotel, especially their unique bath tubs in all of their rooms! This hotel also views the privacy of their hotel guests importantly. There is no typical check-in counter in this hotel, all paper work are done in your rooms. And the moment you enter the hotel, it just feels like home! There is no crowd around any counters, you don’t see a lot of guests walking around too because there is only slightly more than 40 rooms in there. The hotel do not take guest reservations over the counter, so only prior reservations are accepted. The gates to the hotel are almost always closed too, so you don’t get random strangers streaming in and out. I like it! We were allocated a room on the …

War Against Varicose

That picture above serves to attract your attention because I know everyone loves to look at and want to have killer legs. It also aims to make you feel incompetent because your legs don’t look like those in the picture above. But fret not, because most of us don’t have those legs! Before I begin, I have to emphasize that this is not an advertorial for any brands. Haha! Alright. The whole story started when A commented that the veins at the back of my knees are very obvious. She called them “a little bit scary”. I do not want to come across as being scary in any way so I decided to do a little research on those impending varicose veins. Something random. I used to think that those nasty looking veins are called “VERY COARSE VEINS”, well, because they are really very coarse. I feel a little ridiculed when I realized that they were actually spelt “varicose veins”. Why can’t they just make it easier and call them “very coarse veins”? Heh! They …

Bangkok I

I AM FINALLY BACK! The recent Bangkok trip has been great. It was supposed to be a 7 day trip, but due to some last minute decisions, we extended our trip and it became a 11 days one. It was my first time staying in Bangkok for so many days. And as to why I was there for such a long time, I shall reveal it in my next post! 🙂 For now, I just wanna share some of the places I visited in Bangkok and also a nice hotels I stayed in when I was there. If you’re reading this now and will be travelling to Bangkok soon, hope it would be of some help in your itinerary planning too! We tried out two hotels in this trip and both were absolutely fantastic – different and unique in their own ways. The first boutique hotel we visited was TENFACE Hotel at Phloen Chit area. This cosy little hotel has about slightly under 90 rooms so it is a great choice for us because we …
