You And I

I heard this song by Ingrid Michaelson this afternoon and liked it right away! I would like to dedicate this song to my dearest A. We might not have any money but we’ve got our love to pay the bills. Let’s get rich and buy our parents homes in the South of France. Let’s get rich and buy everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance. ♥ *The audio quality at the higher notes is really bad. Pardon me! 😡 You And I by Ingrid Michaelson Don’t you worry there my honey We might not have any money But we’ve got our love to pay the bills Maybe I think you’re cute and funny Maybe I wanna do want bunnies do with you if you know what I mean Oh lets get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France Lets get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance Lets get rich and build a house on a mountain making everybody look like ants From way …

Haunted Hotels 101

I was on Facebook the other day and I came across this article that states a whole list of things one should do before one enter a hotel room. I got a little spooked out and recalled of all the weird rules my Mom once told me about hotel rooms. How you place your shoes, should you put stuff on the empty bed next to you if you’re staying alone, should you off all the lights, and many many more. So out of curiosity, I went to Google about haunted hotels and the do’s and don’ts when it comes to hotel rooms. It’s pretty interesting so I decided to come here and spook all of you out too! I hope you are reading this late at night, preferably in a hotel room. (Hehe. Kidding!) i. Knock the door before you enter the room You can even ring the room bell if you want. This is said to “inform” the spirits that you are about to enter the room. It’s a polite gesture so the spirits …

I’m back!

My apologies for my disappearance. I have been OVERWHELMED with work recently, doing tiramisu all day all night, smelling like coffee and creme half the time! I am very lucky to have supportive readers (like you!) and friends who continuously encourage me and support my new venture. THANK YOU! The Tiramisu Hero is only 11 days old but we have already fed many people our tiramisu! A few of my blogger friends are also nice enough to feature the tiramisu on their Instagram pages. *touched* They have been really sweet and supportive too. Thanks leh friends!! Very love. We also delivered our biggest order so far! 25 MommaHero! 😀 And also had our first appearance for a ZA Cosmetics private event at Les Affaires in Wisma Atria! And of course, I also met some blogger friends at the event! It’s always nice to bump into them! ❤ Sorry that my hair is looking so crazy! Hahaha. Didn’t managed to take pictures with Yina. 😦 And here is the person-in-charge, Jocelyn from ZA. I cannot help …

Juup Your Nails

I found a new nail parlour that I absolutely adore! There are two branches (from what I researched from the internet) and I visited the Somerset branch. It’s in one of the shophouses just behind TripleOne and it’s really nice to have my nails done away from the crowds! The best thing is, I get to watch movie while getting my nails done. Sex and The City, y’all! ❤ I know I am a little slow but I only found out about this gelish polish thing couple weeks ago. It rocks because I have really weak nails and gelish seem to last really long, doesn’t hurt my nails like how hard gel nails do. Check out my nails! The girls recommended bright orange for my toe nails and I’m loving it! I have to say I am really impressed with the service. They have a freaking menu for drinks ok! Heh. I am in love. I like how I have new nail colours to go with the new bracelet & bangle A bought for me! …

Grin Affair

Before I start on my post, I would like to thank blog reader dropletsloves for sharing a list of cafes and other food haunts! A and I dropped by Grin Affair yesterday and we loved what we found there! I have to admit that the outlook of the place did put me off for a short while. I guess that was because I was expecting a nice looking cafe and Grin Affair didn’t fit the mental image I had. I am so glad we gave the cupcakes a chance though! It was SO good! Grin Affair is located in the outskirts of town area at Everton Park. It was a really nice neighborhood! To be honest, I was a little appalled when I first arrived at Grin Affairs because I was expecting a cute looking cafe. But this shop looks just like a very old school hole in the wall. There aren’t much seats in the shop, and it is quite a small space. But strangely, I think the simplicity and unpretentious look of Grin …

War Against Varicose

That picture above serves to attract your attention because I know everyone loves to look at and want to have killer legs. It also aims to make you feel incompetent because your legs don’t look like those in the picture above. But fret not, because most of us don’t have those legs! Before I begin, I have to emphasize that this is not an advertorial for any brands. Haha! Alright. The whole story started when A commented that the veins at the back of my knees are very obvious. She called them “a little bit scary”. I do not want to come across as being scary in any way so I decided to do a little research on those impending varicose veins. Something random. I used to think that those nasty looking veins are called “VERY COARSE VEINS”, well, because they are really very coarse. I feel a little ridiculed when I realized that they were actually spelt “varicose veins”. Why can’t they just make it easier and call them “very coarse veins”? Heh! They …

Best iPad Apps

I just got my very own iPad two days ago & I’m totally in love with it. Many thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks to A for the wonderful present! And after I got everything set up, I went ahead to do my app shopping. Here are some of the awesome apps I have on my iPad (and some on iPhone as well). Some of you have been asking me which app I’ve been using for the photos in my previous blog entry, I’ve shared that AMAZING app in here too. Here is a header I made, decorated with pictures from my Instagram! Follow me on Instagram if you haven’t! Hope you guys love it! O N E FLIPBOARD This is where you can combine Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr and other stuff into one app. The presentation is absolutely gorgeous too with the pictures displayed in a magazine format. I always dislike how you cannot scroll the pictures in the Instagram app (can only see them in thumbnails and click one by one). Well, with this app, …

Love, me

A and I visited this new place we have been wanting to visit for the longest time. We are a big fan of pretty places and when we found out about this place called Antoinette from some TV show, we were thrilled and cannot wait to go there right away! This is not an advertisement but I really wanna share this place to anyone who wants a pretty place to have tea and nice sweets. There are actually 3 different branches and you can find their address from their website. The one we went to is at Penhas Road and it’s really nice to find such a place in a boring looking place like Penhas Road. :p This place reminds of the Laduree in Paris! I love the pretty blue theme of this cafe and the gorgeous European decor. Here are some pictures of Antoinette. This place is so pretty that all the pictures turned out very well no matter where and how I take them. Hahaha! There are a lot of pretty cookies and …

ignite

I just came home from another meet up with the girlfriends. What a great day! I suddenly noticed that we are all big girls now. As we casually talked about the hay days where we would meet up, chill all day and party all night, I felt old and all grown up. It was by chance how our paths in life crossed, but it was the effort we put in to maintain the friendship. It really is easy to make new friends but hard to keep them all fresh and good. Same thing for all kinds of relationships. After our conversations, I realized that 2012 will be a fabulous year for us! The two girls are getting hitched this year and the rest of us have big exciting plans coming up too. I can’t wait. ♥ Anyways. We had dinner at Meatworks in ION (because all the other restaurants were packed). The food was, honestly, not impressive at all. Thank goodness the company was good. Heh! I wore my new top from ASOS.com & I’m …
