Hens Night Party

Before I begin, let me say that I’m super super super excited about this post! One of my best friends is getting married this Sunday! YES. I’m talking about the smokin’ hot Sindy See! The girls and I did some preparation for the night, and we also booked a room at Fairmont Hotel. I shall let the pictures do the talking! The girls are all wearing blazer from Min’s Little Red Heels! 🙂 Looking fabulous! And when I say “girlfriends”, A is there too! She has gotten really close with my girlfriends and we can all hang out together now. It’s a nice feeling to have all your friends loving your loved one too! Lianie always like to disturb the girlfriend though. Lol! A almost freaked out when they told her that they need to put lipstick on her because her outfit looks too dull. LMAO. Check out all my beautiful colorful girlfriends! The girls went shopping before check-in too, and Lianie bought a new dress for Sinsin’s wedding night! Random. A’s damn cute banana …

New Smiles

I am excited about this entry because I get to introduce a place I went to get the perfect smile! I have always been not very confident with my teeth, especially the upper row because I have a gap between my two front teeth. The ends of the two front teeth are jagged, and my teeth are really small. I’m too used to chewing food on the right side of my mouth, so the right incisor and canine teeth are worn too. My horrible teeth-grinding habit (bruxism) when I sleep is not helpful towards the worn teeth too. As a result, the loss in enamel has caused my teeth to be sensitive as well. Here are a few photos of my teeth to give you a better picture. Sorry for the weird faces in the photos. Heh! So during my short stay in Bangkok, A and I watched some videos from the show “Style By Jury”. Those people did WONDERS with veneers, crowns and whitening work and the results were absolutely amazing! I really love …

365

It has been one year. For our first year anniversary, I set out to write a book just for her eyes only. Here is just a few pages of the book to let it be part of my personal blog. A, thanks for being such a wonderful partner. It has been a fucking awesome 365 days for me. Love.

Dim Sum @ Thomson

Before I begin on my newfound Dim Sum haunt at Upper Thomson Road, let me show you my iPad case! I’ve been looking around for the perfect iPad case after I bought my new toy but to no avail. Then A and I decided, “Why not make it ourselves!” So, here is our very own iPad case! We started out with the doing paper mache for one full night! And to make sure the surface is not too bumpy, we sticked cardboards onto the bumpy surfaces. And picked a fabric we like from Chinatown! We also pasted a piece of magnet on one of the sides. We also bought iron on alphabets! Velvety ones. I love it! The insides of the case was made with oil painting paper. The black elastic band can also make sure the case is snug when closed. And ironed on “P”! I know it’s crooked. Make me very angry! Damn. We are still looking for a black tape to paste on the spine to give it an old school notebook …

Mustard is the new yellow.

This week has been a rather busy one and I apologize for my week-long disappearance. A’s granny was not well and was admitted into the hospital. Hope she gets better soon. The visit to the hospital reminds me a lot of the times when I visited my own granny in the hospital. I don’t really like that place. My Mom is overseas in China & that means that I’ll have to look after Maliboo 24/7 throughout the week. That also means that Boo has been spending a lot of time with the three cats in A’s bedroom. Haha! So to reward her and let her feel slightly better about life (lol), we brought her to a dog cafe. Happy Daze is located in Serangoon, they not only serve drinks and bar grub, there is also a menu for the little furkids! And the really nice part is, even if you didn’t order anything for your dogs, they will also readily bring out a doggie bowl so that the doggies can get their supply of fresh …

Crème Brûlée

A and me made our very own Crème Brûlée and we were thrilled about sharing it! It was her Mommy’s recipe and it was absolutely fabulous. Her Mom bakes really well and I’m one lucky girl to be able to eat those yummy pastries and cakes every now and then at her place! :p I realised that recipe aside, skills and techniques are really important too. Our Crème Brûlée didn’t turn out to be as pretty as the one her Mom made. Boohoo! BUT STILL! We are proud of it. Hahaha. The ingredients required are 380gm of UHT milk 380gm of Millac cream 6 normal sized egg yolks 100 to 130gm of sugar (depends on how sweet you want it) Measure out the milk and cream and mix them together in a pot. Separate the egg yolks from the white and put them in a mixing bowl. The eggs we had were pretty small so we added 8 in total. Heh! Measure out your desired amount of sugar. Pour the sugar into the egg yolks …

Not-So-Hollywood

I am a self-proclaimed movie buff. If you haven’t checked out my 2 other blog entries about my favourite movies and based on true story movies, you are in luck because that would mean you will have 3 new blog entries to read today! I just watched Drive starring Ryan Gosling yesterday night. It took me a while to understand why it was voted the best movie from 2011. But after discussing with A, we both agreed that the movie was tastefully done, and the development of the plot was smooth and comfortable. Seeing Ryan Gosling’s buff physique packed under his thin white tee was cool too. Haha! My hands are itching again to share another ten movies that I think everyone should watch at least once in their lives. In no particular order of credit, here are the ten awesome movies that I think you might love! ONE Memento is one movie that really blew me off my chair. Made in 2000, this movie is actually shown backwards. Although this show is all about …

This is one of the many dresses that A actually likes (on me). And I think the shade of green is gorgeous too! Many thanks to Paper Buttons for the lovely dress. Really love the orange suede bag from Kate Love as well! Awesome material. Actually

YES I permed my hair again! I am loving this new perm. It was more than a year ago when I last had a perm. Back then, my friends would call me Cupid because of the damn hair. HAHAHA! Some said I look like some random Korean boy band boys. HECK IT. I think I love it! I cut off those curls about few months after I permed, but this time round, I am determined to keep the curls for at least another 2 to 3 haircuts! As if like an addiction, A and I checked out another cafe. This time round, it was at Yong Siak Street and I knew of this place through a couple forums and through Ladyironchef! It is quite a small place and I think food is rather overpriced. Nevertheless, quite a nice place and I think my Black Truffles Mushroom sandwich was awesome. Coffee was good too. I never knew Yong Siak Street is such a happening place. SO many cute stuff here, I really love the place! Food …

je ne change qu’en mourant

It means I will only change by dying. I got a new tattoo, folks! This time round, it was a new one on the wrist and I’m loving how it looks! Malvin from Primitive Arts at Far East Plaza did it for me. I think there is still some touching up that needs to be done. Shall wait for 3 weeks before I head back to fix it. These were some of the fonts I considered before getting the tattoo. Wanted to pick the 4th font, but the artist said that the tattoo needs to be much bigger to be able to show all the details. So, nope. Bleah. So I picked the 3rd font instead. This motto (or rather, phrase) came with the necklace A and I bought together. I love how the phrase sounded and meant. The tattoo artist tattooed the “q” as a “g”. Faints. Need to go back after 3 weeks to alter that part. Bleah! Other than that, I really love the new ink On a sidenote, I think my …
