A and me made our very own Crème Brûlée and we were thrilled about sharing it!
It was her Mommy’s recipe and it was absolutely fabulous.
Her Mom bakes really well and I’m one lucky girl to be able to eat those yummy pastries and cakes
every now and then at her place! :p
I realised that recipe aside, skills and techniques are really important too.
Our Crème Brûlée didn’t turn out to be as pretty as the one her Mom made. Boohoo!
BUT STILL! We are proud of it. Hahaha.
The ingredients required are
380gm of UHT milk
380gm of Millac cream
6 normal sized egg yolks
100 to 130gm of sugar (depends on how sweet you want it)
Measure out the milk and cream and mix them together in a pot.
Separate the egg yolks from the white and put them in a mixing bowl.
The eggs we had were pretty small so we added 8 in total. Heh!
Measure out your desired amount of sugar.
Pour the sugar into the egg yolks and mix well.
Do not whisk it too much until there is too much bubbles.
Heat the milk/cream mix until it’s almost boiling.
Pour the mixed yolk/sugar mixture in and stir quickly.
When it’s all mixed well, pour it through a sieve.
Pour into serving cups.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees & steam bake the cups for about 35-40mins.
Remove the cups when they are done.
The Crème Brûlée should have a “pudding” texture, not too watery.
Sprinkle some sugar on the surface of the Crème Brûlée and melt the sugar with a blow torch,
or put it back into the oven with high heat for a couple minutes until the surface is brown and crispy looking.
Refrigerate the dessert after it has cooled down a little.
TADAH! Crème Brûlée is done!
I love Crème Brûlée and it’s really amazing that we can make our very own Crème Brûlée in our kitchen now!
If you are also a big fan, do try it out and fix up a tray of yummy Crème Brûlée for you and your loved ones too.
I have been out and about eating and drinking. Hahaha!
But before I head on and talk about what I’ve been doing, let me share the winners of the SIXPEGS Giveaway!
If you have seen the giveaway entry, you will know that I have 3 sets of outfits to give away.
The giveaway was held on my Facebook Page.
And the three winners for Miki, Elsie and Wilma are Hong Jingting, Tan Xinyi and Janice Seah respectively.
Congratulations girls!

A and I have been trying to catch this super yummy Hokkien Mee at Toa Payoh but to no avail.
We went there twice and for the two times, we didn’t manage to get the noodles.
ALWAYS SELL UNTIL FINISH EH! Annoying!
Ate the Mee Hoon Kway instead but it’s really yummy too!
I really love Mee Hoon Kway (more than Hokkien Mee actually), so yup!
Blessing in disguise. Heh!
Met Lilian for drinks at Serangoon after our lunch too!
That’s her in my granny glasses.
Bought it for $25 at Cineleisure and it’s super cute!
I wanna change the lens too something of a better quality too.
Anyone knows how much it costs to change to proper lens?
After much persuasion by A, I caved in and went to queue for 老伴 tao hway with her.
Sigh.
Yes yes I know I am super suagu becuase I never eat before. Hahaha.
Yes yes, I admit. It IS yummy. Hahaha!
The queue was super long lah!
And random photo of us at my favourite Boon Tong Kee!
Headed out again the next day to meet up with the girls!
We had dinner at Gustimo at Orchard ION and went for drinks at Robert Timms.

I also want to share this rather cool website called Food Panda I tried the other day.
It has a list of restaurants under it and you can actually order food from the website,
and the food will be delivered to you!
It rocks for me because there are days when I’m lazy and I don’t wanna eat MacDonalds or other fast food.
I tried it and ordered Indian Food for Mom, my brother, A and myself!
Yummy food and it’s super shiok to have lunch delivered right to my house. Heh!
Pardon my messy photos. Hahaha!
Dinner earlier today was at Pow Sing Restaurant at Serangoon Chomp Chomp area!
I’m a huge chicken rice fan! :3
I did another ukulele cover of First Of The Gang today.
Will share it really soon!
Do check back if you like my crooning away! 🙂

Hey, u can just go to any optical shops to change the lens of that glasses. Price will depend on your prescription thou. If u were to get multi-coated lens (anti-reflection), price ranging from $50 onwards. Then again, that’s the price of my workplace. Different shops have different price.
Btw, I like your ukulele cover.
