Eu Yan Sang II

After my visits to Eu Yan Sang for regular checks and acupuncture sessions, I have had many friends asking me whether TCM works and how the whole acupuncture experience is like. I guess it is still common how a lot of young people still have misconceptions when it comes to traditional Chinese medicine, so I’ve decided to do a little report on my progress so far! So far, I have tried traditional Chinese medicine that comes in powder form and had two acupuncture sessions! Immediate results were obvious. I drift into sleep much faster these days and it is exceptionally evident on days I received acupuncture treatments. Although neck aches did not disappear immediately, the intensity of the pain has decreased. The little health tips from Physician Zhou on how to relax my neck and shoulders have helped me improve my general health condition too! Apart from that, I also made some changes to my lifestyle to speed up the recovery process. I try to cut down on wearing clothes that expose my neck and …

Last chance

I’m tired. Not jaded, not sick of something I’m doing, but just pure fatigue because of all the constant lack of sleep every night. It is almost 6am and I am just done with my shower. I’m dying to hit the bed but the bugging urge to update my blog has driven me to sit before the laptop again. The Tiramisu Hero is 20 days old as of today. Even though we are this young, I am very happy to have created something I am proud of with A. As I was talking to A about The Tiramisu Hero this afternoon, I suddenly realized that this is actually one of the biggest thing I have set out to do. And it somehow feels like a “last chance”. I don’t know if you know what I mean by “last chance”, but I hope you do. I want to break out of the cycle. I don’t want to be doing something I dread. I don’t want to be working my ass off to make money for another …

I’m back!

My apologies for my disappearance. I have been OVERWHELMED with work recently, doing tiramisu all day all night, smelling like coffee and creme half the time! I am very lucky to have supportive readers (like you!) and friends who continuously encourage me and support my new venture. THANK YOU! The Tiramisu Hero is only 11 days old but we have already fed many people our tiramisu! A few of my blogger friends are also nice enough to feature the tiramisu on their Instagram pages. *touched* They have been really sweet and supportive too. Thanks leh friends!! Very love. We also delivered our biggest order so far! 25 MommaHero! 😀 And also had our first appearance for a ZA Cosmetics private event at Les Affaires in Wisma Atria! And of course, I also met some blogger friends at the event! It’s always nice to bump into them! ❤ Sorry that my hair is looking so crazy! Hahaha. Didn’t managed to take pictures with Yina. 😦 And here is the person-in-charge, Jocelyn from ZA. I cannot help …

Saveur

A and I checked out this little cafe called Saveur on Sunday night. We heard raves about the good food and low prices of the French food served at this cafe, and also saw pictures of pretty food from my friend Cheryl’s Instagram, so we decided to go take a look for ourselves! I read about how Saveur used to be a kopitiam stall and after they moved to their new location, standard of comfort, ambience, location went up, but the prices remained the same! It was quite a big place and it was packed when we arrived. They have two units along Purvis Road but they only opened one side of the cafe. It was still very cosy though! We were also very excited because there are alot of other yummy “kopitiam” style food along Purvis Street! The menu looks pretty promising. And the prices are REALLY affordable – like only $6.90 for a serving of pasta! I like the drawing on the wall too. Very cute! Look how it’s packed to the brim! …

Dean & Deluca

I met the girls for dinner and an early birthday celebration earlier this week. We had a simple dinner and get-together at Dean & Deluca at Orchard Central. Lianie told us about this place and I really love it! Clean and bright with a lovely decor. But it was really crowded when we were there and we had to queue for food! The service wasn’t exactly very fast too. Oh well, but I have to admit the food was damn good. I LOVE THE SCRAMBLED EGGS! These are the table number cards you have to bring along before you order food at the counter. Coffee machine midgets. We shared our food and didn’t order too much. The food we ordered was totally fab though! These pictures don’t do the food justice at all! Really yummy! I brought some NonnaHero from The Tiramisu Hero for them to bring back to their families too! Lianie couldn’t resist the tiramisu though, she started digging in on the spot. :p Thanks for the support girls! The girls also bought …

Le’toile

Sunday’s dinner was at the cute little Le’toile Cafe at Owen Road! A and I had been hungry the whole day because we were busy doing our work and missed all our meals, and we were really looking forward to check out this cafe we heard about. It was really nice to know that the cafe opens until as late as 10pm too. Here are some pictures of the cafe. I love the building the cafe is located in! So cute! It is a really quiet area so this would be a great place for people who want to get away from the bustling town area. The Japanese/French style cafe looks really welcoming with a small area near the main entrance that carries cute accessories and other merchandise. It is a 2 storey cafe and there are quite a lot of tables around. I like how almost all the tables in this cafe are different! Very cosy place, and there are a lot of books and magazines littered all around for patrons too. We picked …
