And the Best Selfie Camera is…

If there is a camera made just for taking selfies, it would have to be the Casio EXILIM EX-TR60. With its Bluetooth Smart technology that allows photos to be sent automatically from the camera to my phone everytime I take a photo, it is so easy to retrieve the pictures so I can quickly post them up to the social media sites!

#DFW Insiders

If you follow me (and a few other bloggers) on Instagram, then Digital Fashion Week would be not unfamiliar to you. I am really happy to be one of the few bloggers on the DFW journey, not because it means I am better than other because there are obviously SO MANY GAZILLION better bloggers than me in Singapore, but because I’ve never done anything like that before. It was a really good experience and I got to know some of the bloggers a bit better (and loving it). Because of DFW, I also got to meet like-minded people from all over the world. And they are all so darn cool. So for the record, thank you Digital Fashion Week and Nuffnang Singapore. 🙂 This is not an advertisement so I do apologise in advance if it seems a little haphazard. (It’s 3am now and it’s almost bed time) DFW started in Singapore and I got to know so many of the amazing local designers! Ok, not know the designers per se, more of get to …

Bottomslim

I have never been to any slimming massages before and this first time to BottomSlim is really quite an eye opener! Ever since the start of The Tiramisu Hero, I have been piling on lots and lots of weight – and they all go straight to my tummy, love handles and thighs. *sobs* With my busy lifestyle, it’s almost impossible for me to stick to a regular gym schedule and it’s just too difficult to stay away from food because my work IS food. Even when I try to control my diet, certain parts of the body like tummy, outer thighs and love handles are just impossible to lose! THAT IS WHY I was thrilled when BottomSlim invited me to try out their services! Compared to other slimming consultants, they specialize in lower body slimming (and pioneer too!) so I know it has to be good! Heh. I visited their outlet in Ngee Ann City and the ambience was really good! It’s located at Level 5 and I like how it’s quiet and private there!

PARIS II

Before I begin on my travelogue, I want to share more about the PandaQuest competition that is super cute and meaningful! Amidst all the rave about Kai Kai and Jia Jia coming to Singapore, there is another Panda-related competition that caught my attention! The Chengdu Pambassador Program is looking for animal-lovers, environmental conservationists and travel enthusiasts! And their ultimate goal is to raise awareness about conservation of pandas and to return the pandas to the wild! Those who become Chengdu Pambassadors will have the unique opportunity to tour the world over five to six months, and visit the pandas in zoos around the world. Chengdu Pambassadors will start in Chengdu, pass through Asia, Europe, the Americas, Australia and return back to China. In each city, Chengdu Pambassadors will work with the zoo and engage with the local community to promote panda conservation. The Chengdu Pambassadors will also receive a US$20k stipend each as well as all travel and accommodation expenses covered! Want to do your part to contribute towards the conservation of these cute fluffy …

Paris I

It was one of my greatest wish to travel to Europe when I was in university. I was always green with envy when I hear friends travelling to Europe for their graduation trips etc. In a nutshell, I just really wanted to go check out Europe for myself, and Paris in particular, is one of the cities I am dying to visit. Other than the world renowned Eiffel Tower, Montmartre in Paris is also on my bucket list. A and I didn’t make it to Montmartre on our previous trip because our trip was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances. But this time round, we finally made it there! Montmartre! The place where Amélie Poulain lived and worked in! *beams* We got our apartment from a Bed&Breakfast website and it is just couple stops away from the main Montmartre area. We picked the location because it was near the flea markets and we both loved flea markets! And according to the research we did, the area we stayed at has the biggest flea market in …

Munich | Austria

It came as a little surprise when I was told that we would be crossing the borders and heading over to Salzburg, Austria! The first place we came to was Mirabell Garden where the film Sound of Music was filmed in the 60s. Quite sadly, my childhood was quite ching chong so I didn’t watch the show when I was younger. But I do remember snippets of the show, especially those classic scenes from videos I’ve watched over the years. Here are some pictures of the beautiful Mirabell Garden! The steps where the children in the movie sang “Do Re Mi” on! :p Our guide was this really cute Austrian lady named Ruth. The city was somewhat divided into two by the river. I have to say the atmosphere on the two sides is so different! The view on the connecting bridge was breathtaking too. And the buskers made the walking around extra enjoyable too! There are Mozart related souvenirs everywhere because this place is where Amadeus Mozart was born! And this was his birth …

Munich I

I am finally back from the days of being internet-less! This Europe trip felt really different from the previous one but it was just as good if not better. It was a rather last-minute decision because it was actually A’s company retreat getaway trip. They were going to Munich and she thought it would be great if we could tag along, and leave Munich on our own to finish off what we missed out from our previous Europe trip. We came back about a week in advance from our previous trip there because of my grandmother’s demise. And it felt like we have came one full circle after we finally finished up what we set out to do in the first place. We visited Munich, Austria (for a day), Paris and Barcelona this time round. I must say I am very proud that we managed to spend very little on this trip (muahaha!). I am really poor now. REALLY POOR! Need to start working my ass off again! Nuff of whining! 😀 Here are some …

je ne change qu’en mourant

It means I will only change by dying. I got a new tattoo, folks! This time round, it was a new one on the wrist and I’m loving how it looks! Malvin from Primitive Arts at Far East Plaza did it for me. I think there is still some touching up that needs to be done. Shall wait for 3 weeks before I head back to fix it. These were some of the fonts I considered before getting the tattoo. Wanted to pick the 4th font, but the artist said that the tattoo needs to be much bigger to be able to show all the details. So, nope. Bleah. So I picked the 3rd font instead. This motto (or rather, phrase) came with the necklace A and I bought together. I love how the phrase sounded and meant. The tattoo artist tattooed the “q” as a “g”. Faints. Need to go back after 3 weeks to alter that part. Bleah! Other than that, I really love the new ink On a sidenote, I think my …
