Venice

My Italy vacay starts tomorrow and I am jotting down all the stuff I need to pack for the trip. I find it extremely bothersome to have to pack for a trip (especially a long one) without a packing list. Do you have the same problem? And since I foresee myself going for many, many more trips in future. I shall put up my packing list online so I won’t have to make new lists in the future. *genius* If you’re the worry wart sort and want to make sure you didn’t miss out anything, you could check against mine too!

Heineken Cities Festival

I am still in the festive mood as I scroll through and look at the pictures taken at the recent Heineken Cities Festival. For those of you who had missed the festival this year, the Heineken Cities Festival was a celebration of the launch of the 6 Heineken City Edition bottles named after the top cities of the world – Singapore, Amsterdam, Shanghai, London, New York and Rio de Janeiro. I have never attended any parties like that in Singapore; the festival took place along Club Street and Ann Siang Hill. Yes, ON THE STREETS! The whole area was decorated with the flags of the different countries where the cities are from, and littered with street performers and icons representing the 6 cities. I am so loving the special City Edition beer bottles! Let’s let the pictures do the talking! I have the company of my colleagues from The Tiramisu Hero and first, a selfie!

Heroes Phuket Trip

It almost feels like it was yesterday when the cafe just started – us doodling on the walls, scampering all around like headless chickens trying to make sure things go smoothly in the cafe, doing everything in the cafe on our own because we are constantly short-handed. How time flies. The Tiramisu Hero Cafe is almost one. We organised a little getaway for our staff to a fancy villa in Phuket to celebrate and to reward our staff for always being so awesome. This is a little wefie shot of us at the airport! All thanks to my brand new SONY Xperia C3, I managed to squeeze all 12 of us in a photo. I’m sure I can squeeze another 7-8 people in if there was more of us. :p

Drink Milk Fresh!

Ask me about fresh milk. When I was preparing for the opening of my café, I sampled so many different kinds of fresh milk available in the Singapore market, now I can name the brand just by drinking a sip. Heh! Not that amazing yet, but I have a pretty good idea what are the better brands that we can trust. (And which one tastes better with a good espresso shot) :p When tasked to educate my readers about the importance of freshness of milk, I am proud and thrilled because I know how crucial it is to choose good quality and fresh dairy products. But before I begin, I think we should all know the importance of drinking fresh milk!

I Love iMyBags!

My complicated love/hate relationship with bags goes way back. Love; because they are just such awesome arm candies and have the ability to complete any outfit. Hate: because they very often burn a hole in my pocket, and it’s so troublesome to find somewhere where I can shop for all the brands I like (either that, or I’ll have to pay a hefty shipping fee).

Florence

Florence is just absolutely gorgeous, laid-back and friendly! It is my second time to Italy but my first time to Florence. I’ve heard so much about Florence from A because she is so in love with this city. She calls it a very “liveable city”, full of nice people and not as flooded with tourists compared to Rome. Florence is quiet, small and cosy to be in, but for me, it was the day trips we took from Florence totally blew my mind. They had so much to offer and were so different from what I had experienced in Rome.
